How to use tool alerts

Create a rule, preview matches, choose in-app or Discord delivery, and diagnose missing alerts.

Alerts watches for tool results matching saved criteria. Use a rule for a specific research workflow so each notification tells you something you intended to monitor.

Create a rule

  1. Open the alert action from the relevant tool or create a rule in Alerts.
  2. Name it for its purpose, such as “MLB totals — my books.”
  3. Choose the supported tool and scope. The available criteria differ for Soft Lines, Positive EV, Arbitrage, and Middles.
  4. Select sports, markets, books, and pregame/live mode.
  5. Set the threshold that belongs to that tool: minimum edge, minimum EV, minimum ROI, or the middle's minimum gap and maximum miss loss.
  6. Use Preview matches, read the rule summary, and then Create alert.

A preview shows whether the current data matches your criteria. It does not promise future matches or place a wager. Recheck the preview after changing the criteria.

Understand advanced criteria

Odds bounds restrict the offered prices. Start-time bounds limit how soon the event must start. A minimum capacity requires reported size information; Allow unknown capacity changes how quotes without a reported limit are handled. Unknown capacity is not confirmation that your desired stake will be accepted.

Read whether a capacity threshold applies to each leg of a two-leg opportunity. Combining narrow book, time, odds, market, and return filters can legitimately leave no matches.

Choose delivery

The editor supports In-app inbox and Discord. Discord delivery goes to your connected account's DMs. Use Connect Discord in settings or Fix blocked Discord messages if prompted. Joining the public community server alone does not configure personal tool alerts.

In-app delivery works independently of Discord. If notifications are missing from Discord, check the in-app inbox to distinguish a rule-matching issue from a delivery issue.

Manage existing rules

Use a rule's menu to Edit, Duplicate, Pause, Resume, or Remove it. Pause is useful when you want to keep the criteria for later. Duplicate gives you a starting point for a different sport or threshold; check both rules so overlapping criteria do not surprise you.

Troubleshooting

  • No preview matches: broaden one criterion at a time and check the tool's current board.
  • Preview matched but no new alert: check rule status and future matching activity; previewing is not a test delivery.
  • In-app works but Discord does not: check connected identity, DM permissions, and any blocked-delivery message in settings.
  • An alert's price is gone: open the live selection. The notification describes a previous observation, not a reserved quote.

Sharp Intel follow alerts are tied to the sharps and sports/bet types you follow. See the Sharp Intel guide for that workflow.
