What makes a bet +EV?
A bet is +EV when the sportsbook price is better than the fair odds. We estimate fair odds by devigging both sides of the market from a sharp source like Pinnacle. It is an estimate of value over time, not a guarantee on any single bet.
How is this different from Soft Lines?
Soft Lines works on one-way markets (like first TD scorer) where only one side is offered. Positive EV requires both sides of a bet so it can devig and calculate fair odds, which gives a more precise EV figure for two-way markets.
What devig methods are available?
Power, Multiplicative, Additive, and Probit. You can also choose between worst-case and best-case EV calculations depending on your risk preference.
Which plan do I need?
Positive EV is included with Grinder and Syndicate, including live markets and custom models. Free and Scout accounts see a limited preview.
How does Kelly criterion staking work?
Enter your bankroll and choose a Kelly percentage (10%, 25%, 50%, 100%, or custom). The tool recommends a stake for each play based on the size of the edge and your risk tolerance.
What is the boost filter?
If a sportsbook offers a profit boost (for example 30%), enable the boost filter and it adjusts the EV % and recommended stake for the boosted payout, so you can see whether the boosted bet is +EV.
