Research a player without leaving the conversation. Unjuiced's Discord bot can share a hit-rate chart, compare prices for a prop, and point your community to the same research in the app.
You can use it in the Unjuiced community, or add it to a server you manage.
Choose a server you manage. The app appears as Unjuiced Trends.
Set up your server
- Select Add to Discord, choose your server, and review the requested permissions. You need Manage Server to install and configure the bot.
- Create a text channel such as bot-research. Make sure members can use application commands there and the bot can view the channel, send messages, embed links, attach files, and read message history.
- Type
/research setupand select that channel in the channel field. - Run
/research statusto confirm the selected channel, then try/toolhelpthere.
If Unjuiced Trends is already installed, start at step 2. Research setup is separate from any existing /trends feed configuration.
An existing Unjuiced partner can optionally supply their original https://unj.bet/... referral link in partner-link during setup. The bot verifies it before attaching it to app links. You do not need a partner link to use the tools.
Try your first hit-rate chart
In your research channel, type /hitrate. Choose a league, type at least two letters of the player's name, select a player from the suggestions, then choose a market.
For example, select these fields:
/hitrate league:MLB player:Brandon Nimmo market:hits games:20
These examples show the fields to select in Discord; choose the actual autocomplete results for player and market rather than pasting the whole example as a message. Available players and markets change with coverage.
Leave line blank to use the default line from that player's market profile. The reply shows the line it used. This is a research default, so check the current sportsbook line before comparing prices. Add line to research a different threshold, and side:under to switch from the default over.
/hitrate league:MLB player:Brandon Nimmo market:hits line:1.5 side:over games:20
The chart uses the app's dark styling and shows hits, misses, pushes, average, median, and actual sample dates. You can request 5–50 games; the default is 20. If fewer eligible games are available, the reply shows the actual count. Pushes are excluded from the percentage calculation.
Compare odds and matchups
Use /odds to compare available pregame sportsbook prices for the same player, market, line, and side. The line is optional here too.
/odds league:MLB player:Brandon Nimmo market:hits line:1.5 side:over
The reply identifies matching books and the feed timestamp. An empty result can mean that no current prices match that exact selection. The command does not include fantasy or prediction-market prices. Open Compare on Unjuiced for the relevant sport, market, and player; mobile opens the relevant matchup when available. Prices in the app can have changed since the Discord reply.
Use /matchup for the player's profile matchup and a recent-performance chart:
/matchup league:MLB player:Brandon Nimmo market:hits games:10
Research on Unjuiced opens the player's research with the market and line selected. Samples of 5, 10, and 20 also carry into the app. Other sample sizes remain in the Discord chart because the app's sample choices differ.
Player research supports MLB, NFL, NCAAF, WNBA, and NBA, subject to available player and market data. App access still follows the member's Unjuiced plan.
Get a daily research brief
Run /brief now for upcoming games over the next 24 hours and a selection of available historical trends. Add a league to narrow it down:
/brief now league:MLB
A server admin can schedule a daily post in a separate channel:
/brief schedule channel:#daily-research hour:10
The hour is 0–23 in America/Chicago; 10 means 10 AM Central, with daylight saving time handled automatically. The bot must have permission to post in the selected channel, including when its category is read-only for members.
Use /brief status to inspect the schedule and /brief pause to stop daily posts. Use /research pause to pause both research commands and daily briefs for your server.
Learn a tool or check the math
/toolhelp gives a quick introduction and a link to this guide. Choose a tool for specific tips and its walkthrough:
/toolhelp tool:hit-rates
/toolhelp tool:sharp-intel
The calculators use American odds. Examples:
| Command | What it answers |
|---|---|
/calc probability odds:-110 | What implied probability does this price represent? |
/calc payout odds:150 stake:10 | What are the profit and total return on a $10 stake? |
/calc novig odds:-110 other:-110 | What are the two probabilities after removing the margin proportionally? |
/calc hedge odds:150 stake:10 other:-120 | What opposite-side stake equalizes returns for these two outcomes? |
Calculator and tool-help replies are visible only to you. For assumptions and more examples, read the calculator guide.
Add trends feeds too
The daily brief and on-demand research commands are separate from the sport-specific Trends feeds. Server owners can find feed setup instructions in trends-bot-setup in our Discord. Setting up research does not replace an existing Trends feed.
Troubleshooting
- The server is missing from the install menu: confirm you are signed into the right Discord account and have Manage Server permission there.
- Commands are missing: confirm the bot is installed, reopen Discord, and check the channel's Use Application Commands permission.
- The bot says research is not configured: an admin needs to run
/research setupand select the channel. Use research commands in that selected channel. - Player suggestions are empty: select the league first, enter at least two letters, and choose a suggested player before selecting the market.
- There is no chart or matching price: coverage can vary by player, market, and date. Try an available market and check the requested line. A missing result is not a zero-stat game.
- Images or daily posts fail: check the bot's channel permissions, especially Send Messages, Embed Links, Attach Files, and Read Message History.
- You reach a usage limit: wait before retrying. Limits are currently 8 requests per member per minute, 30 per server per minute, and 500 per server per day. Shared capacity can also briefly limit requests.
Tool links use Dub to track visits by command, server, and channel. Verified partner referrals also carry into app links. Installing the bot does not give a server access to our database credentials or members' Unjuiced accounts.
For help, use app-help in our community and include the command, league, market, and error message.
