Open NFL Matchup Explorer. Read defensive allowances in context and connect them to the correct player and market.
Start with the stat you care about
Choose the supported positional or market context relevant to your research. Compare the opponent's allowances with the player's actual role rather than treating “good matchup” as a general label for every prop.
Read the sample and direction
Check the stat, unit, and displayed sample. Determine whether a larger number means more allowed production or a stronger defensive ranking. Rankings and raw production describe different things; read the labels before inferring that a color means the same thing everywhere.
Connect team-level data to a player
Inspect which player is likely to receive the relevant opportunities. Use Role Radar for targets, carries, and snaps, and Game Center for the game's player/prop context.
Example: an opponent has allowed high rushing production, but your chosen running back has a small carry share. The team-level allowance does not automatically become that player's projection. Opponent quality, previous game situations, and role all affect the interpretation.
Finish with the exact selection
Check whether you are researching yards, attempts, receptions, or touchdowns, then compare the current threshold and price. Do not transfer a favorable result from one stat directly to another market.
Troubleshooting
If the board has no matching rows, check filters and available sample coverage. A missing allowance is not zero allowed production. When comparing two players, keep the stat and sample settings consistent so the comparison answers the same question.
