Games has a new foundation

A rebuilt slate view brings teams, core markets, best prices, and Sharp Intel activity into cleaner game cards.

Posted by Unjuiced Team

Games is being rebuilt around the part of the workflow that matters first: scanning the slate and understanding where the action is.

Cards designed for the full slate

The new game cards fit more useful information into a calmer layout. Each card brings together:

  • Team logos, names, abbreviations, and records.
  • Start time, game status, venue, and matchup identity.
  • Moneyline, spread or run line, and total markets.
  • The best available price and the sportsbook offering it.
  • A summary of relevant trends, edges, and Sharp Intel activity.

The cards use the same team colors, logo treatments, odds controls, hover states, and table language as the rest of Scout. MLB, WNBA, NCAAF, MLS, NFL, NBA, and NHL can live in the same navigation without each league feeling like a different product.

Better data contracts behind the cards

We replaced the original fixture-shaped routes with real game and odds APIs, normalized records and market labels, made pushes visible, and aligned the frontend with the backend wire format. The result is a more reliable base for adding context without rebuilding the card every time a new data source arrives.

Why the deeper pages are not open yet

The full matchup drilldown needs more time. We want Overview, Lines, Trends, Props, Sharp activity, and future edge views to earn their place instead of shipping empty tabs or incomplete data.

For now, Games will stay focused on the card experience. More data will be added soon, followed by richer matchup detail and the return of the full game drilldown when it is ready for daily use.
